with you.... Can you chill out!

And i don't know about the other mods and how they were given their jobs but i noticed it with Theadyal and Silverfish.

Thaed as had been said took a break and came back.

If you look carefully so did I.

It, if you like, a tour of duty :)

Silverfish has cut her moderating cloth right enough.

I for one welcome our new silvery overlord

Ps. Its not a job, in jobs we are paid, so at times life gets in the way!

Ah yis are getting this wrong, i am not saying Silverfish is not a good mod or anything like that...I asked a question because i remember same thing happened to Theadyal as well.

And Takola i asked a question, no pun and it's not a problem for me.

    :)

What happened to me as well ?

Look Silverfish has the moxie needed, there is a lot more to modding PI then people think
but I for one am completely confident she has what it takes and that she won't need as
many smacks with PI mod training paddle at all.

In fairness to MIN, I've too noticed a few times where new or existing mods very rarely post in their forums.
It's obviously a big mod rotating conspiracy - I just choose not to question it! :P

On a separate note, I learned two things from this thread:

    1. Silverfish is a "she" (never knew that)
    2. People still use the word "moxy":)

    I knew that one already.

I noticed that earlier from Thaed. Weird. I can only assume she's from the past and also says spunk in a similar and non-dirty way.

I never said she couldn't mod PI. And nothing happened to you! I dunno why you left but apparently you were on a break.

    What exactly was your point?
That a moderator appointed to moderate a forum doesn't post there much?
Well, that doesn't matter - it's about demonstrating cop on, the better moderators are the janitors who don't stick their oar in everywhere so it's a good thing that she doesn't post as often as some others. You don't disagree with the overwhelming consensus that she's capable. So are we done here?

    Kol ftw.

    mox·ie
    n. Slang

    1. The ability to face difficulty with spirit and courage.
    2. Aggressive energy; initiative: "His prose has moxie, though it rushes and stumbles from a pent-up surge" (Patricia Hampl).
    3. Skill; know-how.

I did not mean the music programing language.

Well then, I must be misunderstanding the below, because I understood it to mean that you were not happy with the choice of Mod because she did not post enough and was already a mod of other forums and you were hoping for someone who wasn't.

No offence to Silverfish but i hardly see replies from her/him in PI and yet "they" have been made a mod, are there no other candidates????

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,396 ✭✭✭✭Karoma

For the record, there were other candidates. They sucked worse than Silverfish.

I thought mods were appointed based on their replies to threads etc... But now it seems you only need to (still dunno:)) to become a mod.

    Really:D

Different fora have differnet needs when it comes to modding them.
In the case of PI there is more to it then just replying and being visible on the forum.

Are we now judging candidates solely on how much moxy and spunk they have in them? :D

    It's more about ability.

No, but they were dumb enough to believe it... Eh, I mean yes.
