22 years in prison, I think he has paid his debt to society. With the maximum prison sentence in Spain at 20 years, I believe Spanish authorities may have gone outside the scope of justice and used this man as an example.

It is to be noted that the man was imprisoned for bank robbery, to which the best of my knowledge nobody was harmed. Robbing should not be commended under any circumstances, if you want to find out why he did it - you can investigate yourself.

I believe he's rolling on now close to 70 days, and contracted HIV back in 2000, which gives him little to no chance of surviving.
