Folks - Some popular pubs in around the city have regular bar extensions that cost €200 a night. This is going to increase to €450 a night from September. Some pubs outside Galway City have announced they will be going back to regular hours. e.g. stop serving at 12:30 instead of 2am. I'm in the habit of not going out til about 10pm. Now I'm going to have to go out earlier to "fill up". Has any pubs in the City announced the same plan?

Think the Roisin announced recently that it will be open late every day of the week now.
Can't see that amount of money putting most pubs off tbh...

AFAIK there's a difference between a late bar and a bar extension.
