    woo! drinks :)

So despite having lived in Portlaoise a year now, I have yet to set foot in a pub.

So the list up there ^^

    Kavanaghs,
    Sally gardens,
    Egans,
    Coppers,

Where do people fancy going? Somewhere with a beergarden for the smokers?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 298 ✭✭Kenteach

Was about to say that I'm also new to the area and would love to meet a few people for drinks, but have just realised I'm here nearly two years!! Would still want to go for drinks though!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,257 ✭✭✭Ruby-J

it is really open to suggestions guys! so feel free to suggest somewhere.

its a starting point anyways as we can always change once we have all arrived.

i reckon the sally gardens cos its small and we could all sit on the right hand side just as you go in as it is a little area so it wouldnt be so hard to find the group. as a few of us know each other already i think this might be an easier option for those who havent met before.

    what do you reckon?

I have no idea of any pubs in PL so am happy to go with the flow.

However, from a couple of other meets and the possibility of some new people showing up (yay cos I'm getting bored with the old people :p ) then a 'designated' space is always a good idea. Saves you getting barring orders from strangers!

And for the 'new' people, you know that you can bring a friend if you want to? That way we aren't quite as scary...except perhaps Ruby....:D
