Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

hi, i have a keeway matrix 50 '08 and apparently while driving slower than people walk it tells me i'm doing 198kmph and in 1 day after driving 20km (rounding up) and my clock tells me i'm up from 4000km to 5000km,
there's no way of removing that, its under warranty, what am i entitled to, as the bike's electrics are basically ....(destroyed?)..... like

that's what i have done, he's saying he can fix it, but there's still an extra 1,000 km on the bike that shouldn't be there..

    is it a digital clock?
if so he needs to wipe that 1000k off it
this is the only time i would agree with doing this.

    yeah its digital,
the only thing is that all of the electrics are gone haywire and the bike has been in for repairs so many times and its ony been used for 8months so i'll prob trade it in or something

No need to name and shame
Bike was fcuked from the factory
Now if you don’t get any joy off the guy you bought it off
Then you name and shame, give him a chance to respond First!

if i dont trade it in i'll be getting a new clock for the bike, so it'l be on 00000km .....lol....

he wants me to use it as a trade in off a 125cc keeway , its the only 125 he stocks, but there's no way i'm falling into that trap again, he will maybe get a yamaha in for me, ....

Bring it back to the dealer and see if he's had this problem before. If so he'll sort it out no bother i reckon :D Otherwise start looking at more popular brand 125's.

When i read the thread title I pictured Charlie Boorman and Ewan McGregor for some reason!

lol, ok i've checked how much my insurance will be on a 125.....not happening, looks like i'll be needing something with group 1 insurance..
so anyone know some good 50cc's ?

Not the best looking moped but the MBK Ovetto will not let you down. I had 2 and never had a problem with them.

Actually crashed the second one about 4 years ago, wrote it off. It's been lying in the shed ever since and last week I did a shed clearout. Put the key in the bike, kicked it 3 times and it fired on the last kick!!!!! :O :O Couldn't believe it, lol

    BTW, they're Yamaha engines.

unreal, hmm i only checked aon because last yr my insurance with quinn direct was 2k and its not bad now with them,
    i'm looking at the xr125
i'm not too interested in these bikes built to look like superbikes with only 125cc engines,..
    any ideas on 125's?

    Tdr 125?
    cheap insurance!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,016 ✭✭✭metalfest

    why's the insurance cheap?

They only do about 100 kph
but there fairly quick to get to it
    a good, start off bike/.

something like the NSR 125 would do about 160 kph
they are quick considering how hard they are to stop

so the TDR is a safer bike to start on, so cheaper insurance

sounds good, ay idea how much they'd be?

a fairly good second hand one you should spend around 2 grand on
i would expect you would get a 03 or 04 for that money?
but i have not looked at the price of them for a few years
