    I'm considering developing a web gallery/forum. Is there any decent (preferably open source or free) software that is easily modifiable? I would like the gallery users to be able to register and then be able to upload their own images as well as search the gallery database by choosing one or many search criteria.

    Ther first software listed here is very good.
