No trouble with the wait one minute rule for posts at all. It prevents post count ++ing.
But I just spent a wee bit of time there chasing a spammer who posted the same thread all over the frigging place like a right bell-end.
So I was trying to report the posts, but it turns out that reporting a post is subject to the same wait one minute rule as posting is.
Why would make it more difficult for me to be a good boards citizen and report spammer scum? Can we remove the wait one minute rule for post reporting so that I can continue and do my civic duty? I feel a bit like larry flynt after the shooting now.

Probably no need to report them all.
The admins can just delete all their posts at once.

But to me it is like a sport. Some people do karate, some watch porn, some rape children and some like long walks in the park. I like speed post reporting.
But even still, what if you come across some abuse on a thread from more than one poster.
And you have the agonising decision to choose one post to report, knowing full well that you will have to wait a minute before you click that beautiful red triangle again?
It's like Sophies Choice. And I can't stand it one minute longer.

Although I see your point my man.
Well what am I asposed to do to report these spammers then?
Where do I post to report them?
Can we maybe sticky the spammers thread on here so I know where to go?
Takes a lot of the fun out of it though.

When you report a post, it gets "posted" into a different forum... so technically, you're still posting - just in a more funky way.

I suppose if you could report 100's of posts at once the spammer would just clog up the reporting system just before posting his spam...

Thought it was 30 seconds, not a minute anyway?

Maybe they r less restrictive on spam fighting modgetarians like your fine self.
To use an apt analogy, you are the lawr, so to speak and I am the spam batman, who gets results whilst confounding the commissioner.
Reports get posted to another forum?
I thought it was just a message to mods of the forum. That sucks man. I didnt realise that!

Rules are different for mods afaiu, and the statement of time is wrong afaik. Good idea about the sticky thread for spammers though Dr.B, we've got one on the mod forum that works well. To save duplication it may be an idea to lock that and use the one in feedback instead, I'll leave both open for now though.

Cool. So now I fight the powah in a feedback thread. Seems fitting.
