Whats your setup for speedtest and large file download(move if wrong)

Hey all, Im just wondering do you all connect through lan for an accurate speedtest.Today,while downloading a 1.4gb file i was only getting 670 kbs via the wireless switched to lan and i was getting a good 2mb-2.3mb DL speed Is it that 54mb wireless cant handle ful speed or was it just the wi-fi setup i was using? Thanks…
