The latest sat loop shows a typical sea breeze convergence in the east and very profound in west Dublin.

This is a good set up for storms if the conditions where favourable but are far from it.
Surface winds are generally NW in direction while onshore seabreeze from the Irish sea, and where the two meet the air in the bounday layer (surface) is forced up a tad to the (LCL)lifting Condensation level but too much high pressure to build cloud up so creates an inversion layer and has formed mainly a blanket of cumulus humilis and stratus.

Actually a great view of it from here as i'm still basking in the sun while to the west is much cloudier.

Big dark clouds around here now! That was unexpected

Dark clouds have shifted eastwards - sunshine and blue skies have arrived again from the west!:)

Quite a marked temperature drop here in the last hour. Went from 17.5c at 3.00pm to just 13.9c at the present. No rain, but became almost thundery looking with a thickening haze, that has now cleared, and just the usual low stratus ****e now. Gusty winds too just before the dry trough arrived.

Yes, beautiful morning again, if a bit cool, but the satellite loop shows cloud heading across the Irish Sea towards the East coast.

Indeed - lovely if a bit chilly with clear pale blue sky - only 12.4c here atm. Min. overnight 7.8c.

Hate to put a dampner on it but it looks like cloud/fog drifting on to east coast :-(
