Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,
Nearly all of the PCs on the Dell website are now shipping with Vista, which I am still a bit suspicious off. I want a fool proof PC for my Mother. XP makes more sense. Any decent websites where I could just get a reasonably priced XP pc?
    Kind Regards

Youre assumption is a bit incorrect. For a novice user, Vista is by far the more fool proof Operating System. Its designed around streamlining the User Interface after all.

If your mother is used to XP than XP is the way to go but Vista is an easier OS to get around.
If by fool proof you mean security wise, less likely to get virus's etc then once again Vista is the better option (even with UAc disabled) as it has less security loopholes but honestly both are vulnerable without due care.

Compatibility issues etc depend on what software/ahrdware she needs to run.

Dell will still ship laptops with XP, we get (at least till we had to stop buying machines due to cutbacks) them delivered with XP here in work. Might need to ring them though?
