Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Are they just going to buy the league as Chelsea did?

Will the debt-ridden Glazers be happy with being the second best team in Manchester?

What the hell does this mean for the league?

Being a Liverpool fan I'm a little bit nervous about this. In fact, I'm s**tting myself about this be quite honest. If Man City start buying all the best players like Chelski it looks like there will be a serious battle for fourth spot and in a couple of years the battle will be between Arsenal and Liverpool and whoever else!:(

If the deal goes through, then I think Man City don't become the new Chelsea, but become...well, Man City.

It must be remembered that when Roman arrived, they were chasing players like Crespo and Veron, who in all fairness, were in carear slumps. City have come out of the traps chasing the big names of world football. But most importantly, Man City appeared to to have trumped Chelsea and Abramovich, that tells it all really, as no one has been able to do that since the arrival of the Oligarch.

No they're not the new Chelsea....they're the new Man City! They have more money then Chelsea so they can become bigger!

Poor old Jo. He was meant to be the star this year but could end up as mere back-up depending on who City buy.

Man City saying deal isnt 100% done..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,044 ✭✭✭Sqaull20

Why would Robinho go from the biggest club in the world, to Man City?

I dont believe this for a second.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,245 ✭✭✭✭Fanny Cradock

    My goodness!

I know his primary role is as a winger, but has anyone an idea what wing? Poor SWP could be back on the bench.

Why not? They've obviously got ambition and the money to back it up.

I think Man U are the 'biggest' club in the world. Still, after the new owners splash the cash maybe Man City are the biggest club.

    Astounding stuff!

I am currently eating my shoe in disbelief. Fair play for City sigining such a big name, at least they are delievering some one to coincide with the hype.

    ¥€$

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,841 ✭✭✭Running Bing

    Wow crazy stuff.

City have overpaid for a player that wasnt really what they required....does that matter though? No! would I be extremely excited if I was a City fan? yes.

What this shows is that City are willing to build a dream team a la Abramovich.....this signing is'nt great imo when yu really look at the facts..like I said risky, over priced, not really what was needed....but fvck it, money is like sand up there now, they can get anyone.

January window is going to be pure madness.

Another poster mentioned earlier that Robinho was on 'small' wagesw compared to the other Real stars.
