    Alan Tabern v James Wade

    6.15pm Semi-Final 1
    6.45pm Semi-Final 2
    7.30pm Final

Obviously Taylor is the favourite coming off his back to back wins in Holland and his general overall form, Wade second favourite but Tabern, Hamilton and Jenkins are all showing some form recently. Tabern especially could pull a few shocks during the day.

Watching the semis now. Taylor just mauled Hamilton, throwing him a leg towards the end even. He's just a cut about the rest at the moment. Didn't see him in action, but disappointed that Wade didn't make the semis to give Phil a game.

Lloyd/Tabern at the moment. Great to watch Lloyd actually competing for a tournament again. But in saying that, Tabern is a good bet to take him then complete the formality of collecting the runners-up cheque.

I didnt know about this tournament.

Anyone know if it's a once off or is there more and how did they decide who qualified for it?

Its on again tomorrow from 11am.

As far as I know its decided by the order of merit. Was surprised that Part declined to play. Not surprised that Barneveld declined though.

Wade will have to play a lot better tomorrow if he wants to qualify quickly.

Another lousy day for James Wade not qualifying for the semis, Lloyd and Baxter eliminated.

    Semi lineup is as follows

    Andy Hamilton v Alan Tabern

    Mervyn King v Kevin Painter

Hamilton to win todays tournament on current form.

It's a tournament for the sake of a tournament. The PDC know they're in a boom period and want to cash-in on all the offers from sponsors to run ANYTHING Darts-related. They could come up with better names though, Championship of Darts...like how's that different from the Grand Slam or the World Championship to anyone that doesn't know the ins and outs?

Eh, it's more darts to watch though so I'm not complaining at the same time.
