Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Who's in their group??

Last campaign could have been a pure fluke.

Players are average at best. Formidable team at home though..

    Computer says no....

Can see them holding their own at home but i don't think qualification.

Actually the more i look at it, that is a fcuking easy group. Just all middle-of-the-road teams in there.

Would love if we had it.

Its easy enough alright. I can see them getting the play off place at least. Poland are a poor team held up almost single handedly by some unbelieveable play by Boruc *cue a rake of abuse and booing when he visits Windsor Park*. The Czechs are in relative decline. Reckon Slovakia might be a force within a few years but not just yet.

They are like we were under Charlton (and should be now) - mostly average players who will never set the world on fire but manage to punch above their weight by sheer determination and team spirit.

I think they stand an outside chance of qualifying. They are more likely to qualify than we are - even though we have much better players.

In fairness they have a much easier group (although tbh I wouldnt write off the possibility of Italy finishing 3rd in a tight group, as unbelieveable as it sounds from history. If they field the same sides as in Euro 08 it is not impossible, they were septic).

It beggars belief that people fall into the Charlton mantra that he had to deal with "mostly average players". Charlton had the best squad of Irish players ever.

Moran, McGrath, O Leary, Lawrenson, Whelan, Houghton, Sheedy, Brady, Stapelton, Aldridge and to a lesser extent, Hughton, Staunton, Quinn etc.

Doubt a single Nordie from todays team would get in there.

Maybe their results show that what they have done is even more remarkable.

Is it true that Jonny Evans might be out of the match?
