I think you're being overly kind with that assessment ;)

If you took out the ones already in RB or RB 2 then it's very poor imo. Although Mr. Crowley and Crazy Train do float my boat :D

It all went wrong when MTV came on board.

Plenty of crowd pleasers, but it was on the way out with GH3 anyway....

MTV are with Harmonix. They have nothing to do with Red Octane/Neversoft/The GH Franchise now.

    I think it's a quality list!

    Interpol - Obstacle 1
    Modest Mouse - Float On
    Muse - Assasin
At The Drive-In - One Armed Scissor
    Blink 182 - Dammit
System Of A Down - BYOB
    Foo Fighters - Everlong
    Oasis - Some Might Say
    Smashing Pumpkins - Today
    No Doubt - Spiderwebs

And that's before evn mentioning some of the 'classics' they have on it. Much better than some of the previous installments imo. Definitely gonna get it.

Nice bit of Bon Jovi cheese in there too! :D

Yeah not the best set list. Some of the best songs - Today, Ever Long - are in RB2 already. Some decent stuff (the fifteen year old me would have loved Dammit by Blink 182) but overall doesn't look too impressive.

+1 Seriously... €200+ for that?? (and more barely worth mentioning)

Here we go with more pointless bitching about setlists. It's horses for courses. If you don't like it, don't buy it, it's that simple!

    VR!

well ... Something that suits the game rather than is popular....

Here's a few I would love to play on guitar hero..

    Cinnamon Girl - Neil Young
    Moonchild - Iron Maiden
    No Quarter - Zeppo
    Power Trip - Monster Magnet
    Purple Haze - Hendrix
Lonely Train - Black Stone Cherry
    Higher Ground - Chillis
    Cherry Lips - Garbage
    Chinatown - Thin Lizzy
    Basket Of Eggs - Clutch
    Cochise - Audioslave
    Cowboys From Hell - Pantera
    Dogs - Motorhead
My Spirit Will go on - Dragonforce
    Evil Woman - Sabbath
Feed The Gods - White Zombie
    Fly By Night - Rush
    Immigrant Song - Zeppo
    Infinate Dreams - Maiden
    Judith - Perfect Circle
    Sanitarium - Metallica
Money For Nothing - Dire Straights
    Moonchild - Maiden
    Powertrip - Monster Magnet

Sorry if I've repeated myself there or put in any tunes that have been on any of the other guitar heroes. Just think GH3 was a let down because they put on the songs tey thought people wanted to hear, like that killers one which was just not right for the game. repetitive and boring.... I reckon they should stick to songs that have a bit of 'something special' when it comes to the guitar part.... Just my opinion

The above would be my dream GH set list :)

I like the setlist in fact it has Hendrix so I will be on the waiting list to get my hands on it for that alone.

I have rockband at the moment but there is nothing for the "girls" to sing (my gf is not a fan of rock) but this has a good mix.

MY apologies I just re-read it and it sounds awful!

I suppose the main point I was trying to raise was that she does not like rock, she is more soul, pop and traditional blues/jazz. When I reference "girly" I really mean the type of songs that would be on X factor.

But... but what else are we supposed to do? Accept that the game is produced and shaped by forces and parties beyond our influence and that ultimately its popularity was obviously going to be met by a multi-genre inclusive setlist?? Thats crazy. We must complain. How am I supposed to feel better????

Oh, and bring back bark at the moon.
