I have heard a lot of good reports and reviews for collinite car wax, i have tried to source it in numerous motor factors and car shops in ireland.

Nobody seems to have heard of it, never mind stock it.

Does anybody know where i can buy it in Ireland , without buying on the internet ?

You will only get it online from the UK or USA. In any case whether in Ireland or abroad, the best products are only available online, not in motor factors or car shops.

It is one of the best waxes for durability, rather than outright looks. It is overhyped somewhat on forums but that is on account of its lowly price, bang for the buck, compared with the really expensive waxes. Many of which are more about snob value down the golf club  than actual performance.

Yes, it does seem to be the case that collinite and other Good products are only available online and not in Retail shops. Why do you think this is the case, surely if they were for sale in specialist shops they would sell ?

I have collinite (think 845) and its container says it is primarily for electrical applications! Supposedly its to be used for insulation purposes during high voltage installations. Would need to take another look - I can see it from here but cannot get to it; that is I can see the shed and its in there:D Sorry...

I bought it off ebay a few years back for about €10. As someone said it is not big on looks but it is durable. Mainly recommended for use on alloys or during the winter to give an extra tough layer. Like many car care products I have bought over the years they never get finished and end up still on tghe shelf 10 years later but I guess they lest indefinitely so maybe the kids will use it one day:)

If you are out Kilmacud direction then you are welcome to a dollop of it.

    LOL!
Which golf club is that then? Have they all sold their pied á terres in Tuscany and cut back to the extent that they brag about which wax they put on their X5s now?

We have a quanitity coming in over the next week or so.

The reason you don't see many specialist products on the shelves in Ireland is due to the market not being there. For example, to become a distributor for the likes of Collinite requires about 5K to be initially invested.

It would take half a decade to sell 5K of car wax in Ireland. Unless a particular company had an already established distrubution network around the country.

But in saying that, someone took the plunge and we're getting the first few boxes off the pallet. Prices should be competitive with the lads in the UK.
