Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Have been back and forward with rent allowance - hope it wouldn't come to this but it has and need help with rent.

The lady (and she is a bit of a weapon) is coming to check out the gaff tomorrow. She has asked to see ID, which is fine but also bank statements - is this normal?? She really makes me like I am screwing the state which I'm not!

It's means tested so I suppose she's checking you don't have millions in the bank.

Perfectly normal. The reason they come to inspect the place is to ensure that it meets basic minimum standards (ie that you're not paying 800 a month to live in someone's wardrobe) - ventilation, running water, etc.

Bank statements is usual as well due to the means testing - remember your bank statements will show things like loan payments as well. If you don't pay the electricity etc by direct debit, have some bills available to show her too. She's not coming to trick you, just to make sure that everything is kosher.
