Is that a pregnant spider? I am thinking there are a lot of big spiders around at the moment because one of my websites is drawing a lot of spider related google searches.

I don't know much about spiders, but It'd be a strange time of year for it to be birthing, would it not? We have new neighbours moving in, the girlfirend's convinced in stowed-away in a bag; Reckons Dublin spiders should be that big. :D

I would appreciate link to the page with larger version of that picture. It is problem with all panoramatic pictures - they look good only when seen large.
Sorry Th0nda, set it up so its a link to a larger photo now - had been lazy after setting those up on my C&C thread earlier, and was on the run :)

The point is that macro picture of a spider is not a good picture to be shown only because it is macro and it has a spider as a subject.

Edit: kensutz has a very good example: good exposure in complicated lighting situation, nice colour contrast (orange and green) and nicely drawn web.

Hmmm. I am tempted to split off the spiders to their own Gross out thread.

anyone have any objections? Cos I'll do it in one hours' time if no one does.

Scared is a stretch....i mean, they are pretty small so i'd win a fight unless there was some toxic waste involved.

But they are ugly and hairy and sneaky. ick!

I got so bored in work over the summer that I learnt how to make papercraft models. I probably made about 70-80 models but these are my favourites.

I have hired a monkey who assures me he can deal with any spider issues.

Think he might be a bit of a cowboy though.
