Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey lads,
Have decided to upgrade my brake lines on my K4 GSXR 750 as they are starting to feel a bit spongy. I had Goodridge Braided hoses on my last K1 GSXR 600 which gave unbelievable feedback. So i've decided to go with the same brand again. I am installing these myself, but have two questions:

    1) Should i go for (A) the standard brake line format at front of one hose from master cylinder down to right caliper and a link hose connecting both calipers, or (B) two hoses from master cylinder, one to each front caliper ?

    2) Do the banjos come connected to the braided hoses when i buy them or do i have to connect them myself?

    Thanks for your help,
    dhev

you should have new banjos with the hoses. As for the hose setup I'd stick with the original setup unless there is an obvious advantage to the other setup.

Avoid that T-piece system, it's cr@p. Run two lines from the Master Cylinder!

Funnily enough, I'm getting this done on my Fireblade this week! :D

Where are you getting these hoses by the way? Busters.co.uk has a good deal on braided lines at the moment but nothing available for my bike...

Well I tried that, and not matter what, could not bleed the system afterwards. Gave it to well know bikeshop (with road racing owner...), and they couldn't either.

Went back to T-system, brakes back to normal.

    No, I don't get it, either..........:o

Fitted dual Goodridge lines in racing format to my Transalp last week - pain in the ar5e bleeding them alright but forcing fluid up from both calipers at the same time did the trick. I buy all my bike brake stuff from www.brakes4u.co.uk and get very good value.

They're a b!tch to bleed alright but what you do is bleed it at the top first, where the lines connect with the Master Cylinder. I do that on my race bike and never have problems...

    Did you try that?

bleeding the SV brakes last week with the duel lines and was having trouble with them. It was solved by forcing the pistons back into the calipers which seemed to blow an airlock out from the top of the two hoses. It worked a charm so this method is recommended and isn't as messy as trying to bleed at the top banjo.

Am getting mine from Crossans ( the visor Shop ) in Newry.
They have a serious amount of stuff on their Web site, but not a variety of different brands. Will check out ye'r sites tomorrow, as i'm using Inter net on dial up at moment, at home house. (slow as fcuk).

Hey man, that site is great value. cheers.
    One problem though.
I'm in the middle of ordering brake lines off this site and one of the questions when ordering is:
    Is TuV Approval Required:
Which has two options: No(UK) or Yes.
What does this mean, and what answer do i give?
Probably a stupid question but cheers anyway

TuV is only required if you're a German resident. So the answer is "no".
