Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    We really need a second goal. Because if it's 1-0 going into the last few minutes, we'll draw or lose. It's just what we do :rolleyes:


    Good start though. Georgians look like a very physical side, but I'd imagine most of the Irish team can manage them. We should do well out of McGeady and Hunt on the wings, particularly McGeady.

    Good first half.

    Georgians are mostly poor but the lads are looking very composed.

    I like the way McGeady / Hunt keep swapping wings to keep the fullbacks on their toes.

    I won a few quid on Doyle anyway. He's playing well if only the ref would stop calling nothing fouls against him.

    Glenn Whelan has been excellent. S.Reid his usual commanding self. McGeady playing like he has been for Celtic this season. Just can't seem to beat a player. I wish he'd come inside more as he's way too predictable.

    I liked our performance there in the first half. While we sat back and almost conceded an equaliser its just so more organised.
    Its clear that every player knows his job and thats the most important thing.

    I didn't realise that Cuper was their manager, and they are playing his style too, using the left side a lot as he seems to do with every team.

    The players for me, well (i'm a Blackburn fan) I was shocked by Reid's contribution, seems to have been well schooled by Trap because I never seen him so much in control. Doyler is great as usual. Whelan playing really well too. Finnan has done well against that guy who seems to be the main man for Georgia. And the rest are doing ok.

    He was exactly like that against Norway. I don't know but I saw Reid a couple of times for Blackburn since coming back from injury and he has been playing that way. A real playmaker on the ball now, demanding possession. Arsenal away last season followed by I think Bolton or Fulham at home he was superb. Exactly like he's been for Ireland.
