Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Folks,

We are at the stage now where we are looking for septic tanks. The guy doing the ground works has hit some serious rock where the tank is going and has told me to look for a shallow enough tank - around the 52 inch mark. Its in the plans for a system to take up to 8 people.

Can anyone recommend any for me? PM would be fine if you could let me know.

Are you allowed a septic tank?

Hi Muffler, on the planning permission the engineer has put in for a treatment system. Planning was granted in 2006 so Im assuming we have to go with the system mentioned in the planning?

Yes you will have to run with whatever is specified in the grant of permission. You should look to see what type of unit has been specified (ie. mechanical aeration system) and shop around. If you cant get a shallow version (which is unlikely) you will either have to dig down (and seeing as it's rock it may not be the ideal solution) or move a bit to get ground conditions.
