Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Soundproofing Waste Pipes

Folks, First fix of the plumbing has started on my house and I can now see how the waste pipes from the services upstairs have been dropped through the precast floor and are running along the ceiling. Is it worth trying to minimise the sounds from these pipes when they are in use ? I know its not a big issue, but if I can…

Folks,

First fix of the plumbing has started on my house and I can now see how the waste pipes from the services upstairs have been dropped through the precast floor and are running along the ceiling.

Is it worth trying to minimise the sounds from these pipes when they are in use ? I know its not a big issue, but if I can do something at this stage to easily dampen the sound I would like to do it.

Is there some sort of lagging I can use on the pipes ?

heavy duty carpet underlay wrap to pipes

and double or even triple layer plasterboard to ceiling local to pipe runs

tight, and i mean tight , - Rockwool pack to floor slab penetrations

is it worth the trouble - don't find out the hard way
