Heat Recovery using Xpelair

    Folks,

    I am going to use an Xpelaie Xcell 600BP to do heat recovery in the house and I am installing the ducting along with the builder...

    Standard ducting size for this type of application is generally 204x60 or 150mm round. The spiggots on this unit are 200mm...

    I guess the best approach is to run the 2 200mm trunks down through both floors and then branch off into a 150mm duct for each floor, then distribute around the various inlets/outlets using the flat ducting..... ?

    Anyone have any expertise in this area ?

    Have u no input from the supplier, just u and the builder:eek:

    In passing round ducts more efficient than square/rectangular.
    minimize the number of bends and, as u asked the question else where, plan to 'lag' them for sound attenuation.
    Also think about sound from the unit
