Subscription deleted when banned

I was subscribed to teh MMA thread in the SD&MA forum. I got banned last week and my subscription seems to have been deleted. I can understand why the subscription shouldn't be active wile you're banned from that forum, but is there no way to suspend it rather than delete it altogether?

It doesn't get deleted to the best of my knowledge, just suspended.

Didn't seem like that to me. I had to resubscribe as it wasn't in my list of subscribed threads.
