    Tuesday 9th September
    FRESHERS WELCOME PARTY (sponsored by Clem Smiths)
    6:30pm – 9pm in Student Centre … €2
    A welcoming for all incoming first from the Students Union. We will be letting everyone know where to go and what to do in Limerick, and there will also be a Live Band, Food & Drink, Raffle and Games, and a FREE Bus back to Cratloe Wood and Thomond Student Villages.

    Monday 15th September
    FRESHERS SCAVENGER HUNT (sponsored by AIB)
    On and Off Campus all week … FREE
    Collect 30 assigned items to do with LIT both on and off the college campus and you could be in with a chance of winning a brand new TV worth €700 for your student home.

    Winner of ‘Best DJ’ and ‘Best Producer’ at last years Irish Dance Awards, John O’Callaghan plays LIT’s Freshers Week 2008. Check out more info about John on his website, http://www.johnocallaghan.net


    Tuesday 16th September
    PAINTBALLING
    2.30pm … Bus leaves college for Shanagolden Woods … €35
    Recognised as the fastest growing sport in the world your paintballing ticket will include 3 hours gameplay, paintballing equipment, 200 FREE Paintballs, Bus there and back, and a free ticket to either John O’Callaghan on Monday night, OR the County Colours Party on Thursday night. Limited tickets available, book as soon as possible from SU.

    PRE-BACK TO SCHOOL COCKTAIL PARTY
    8pm in Scotts Bar … FREE

    Free bus leaving from the Student Villages and the college at 8pm (starting in Thomond Village) into Scotts Bar (over by the Mary I Student Villages). Special cocktail pitchers, and promotions on all night, and spot prizes. Live Band: Traffic. Free bus after the party to Icon Niteclub with free entry.


    BACK TO SCHOOL PARTY
    11pm in Icon Niteclub … FREE (€2.99 after 12)

    Nightclub with top Limerick DJ’s until 2am. Back to School Theme.


    Wednesday 17th September

    MIDWEEK MOVIE: Your Choice of Will Ferrell Movies
    2pm … Upstairs, Student Centre … FREE

    The first movie showing in LIT’s brand new TV/Cinema area. Free movie showing, popcorn, and soft drinks.


    UNION DAY BBQ (with Freeroll Poker Tournament)
    (sponsored by Joe Lawlor Coach Hire)
    6:30pm in Student Centre … €5

    Tickets are already very limited for this event so if you are in first year you have a week before everyone else to pre-book. The ticket includes; All you can eat BBQ, Food & Drink, Live Band, Pro Evolution Tournament, Texas Hold’em Poker Freeroll, Spot prizes, games, raffle, pool, and of course… A FREE bus home to the student villages at 9pm.


    CELEBRITY COUPLES NIGHT
    10pm Molly Malones … FREE

    Free entry into one of Limericks most popular late bars for celebrity fun.


    Thursday 18th September

    SU COFFEE MORNING
    11am … Upstairs, Student Centre … FREE

    Free Tea and Coffee for an hour and a half upstairs in the SU. This is a chance for first years to get any information on LIT that they still need or to ask questions to the SU. Movie at 11:30am.


    PRE-COUNTY COLOURS PARTY w/ KARAOKE
    8pm in Clem Smiths … FREE

    Clem Smiths, sports and student pub host the pre-party to the official LIT Freshers Night Out. Clems have Karaoke, and promotions for €2.50 and €3. Also, special county flag shots.


    COUNTY COLOURS PARTY
    **Official LIT Freshers Night Out**
    11pm in the Sin Bin … €6

    An old traditional favourite, and right around All-Ireland time. Wear your county’s jersey with pride in the official night out for LIT Freshers. Tickets on the door.


    Friday 19th September

    FRESHERS WEEK GALLERY
    9am … Student Centre … FREE

    Check out all the pics and happens from the 2008 Freshers Week. Send in your photos during the week – the best pic sent in wins €50. Also check out our Where’s Wally Photo Gallery, available all next week too….
