As if Let There Be Rock wasn't enough!

    Info here.
AC/DC fans left underwhelmed by developer Harmonix's choice of "Let There be Rock" for Rock Band 2's setlist may have other options soon enough. Originally posted on Darkest of the Hillside Thickets singer Toren Atkinson's blog, the screenshot above was intended to showcase the in-game presence of the costumed, H.P. Lovecraft-themed band's recently released "Shhh....". What caught the attention of eagle-eyed Rock Band addicts, however, was the song immediately below that one: "Shoot to Thrill" from AC/DC's legendary 1991 show at Castle Donington.

While it's become quite clear that nothing is certain when it comes to these sort of things, the fact that the image has since been pulled from Atkinson's blog lends it a little credence. It also wouldn't be the first time upcoming Rock Band tracks were unintentionally leaked by third parties in screenshots.

If this does prove legit, then this will mark the second band -- after The Who's Live at Leeds DLC -- to have music from live performances featured in Rock Band. With The Who it was a case of master recordings that had gone missing, rendering live recordings as the only available option. Considering how long AC/DC have been around, there's a pretty good chance they've lost more than their fair share of priceless rock artifacts -- the master to "Shoot to Thrill" included.

Never a bad thing, and this all but confirms it :)

The Who isn't the only one that's happened to as well. Living Color had to re-record Cult Of Personality for Guitar Hero III because the master of that was either lost, or in too bad shape to use for the game.

And usually when a band re-records, it's usually versions they've rehearsed for live shows unless they deliberately go out of their way to make it sound like the original.

    VR!
