Hi just wondering what the cost of changing a timing belt on a 99 Toyota Corolla would be? Main dealer and local mechanic price would be helpful.

    Cheers

You should be able to get it done for 400 notes with your own mechanic, I would think. Main dealers have bigger overheads and will have to charge you more for the same work, in my experience.

I do most of the work on my cars myself but I don't mess around with timing belts and the like. However, I imported a 206 lately to sell. Timing belt and tensioners came to €70 and my mechanic fitted it for €70.
