Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Satellite line amplifier

    Hi,

Reading about these I note that they can amplify the strength of a satellite signal to compensate for signal loss on long cable runs.

If used on a short cable run to bring the signal strength up to 100% will this overload the satellite box and if it does what are the consequences?

    Thanks

Why would you want to do such a thing? Unless you have picture break up dont bother, in any case a line amplifier will not help. What is important is the sig to noise ratio or s/n , an amplifer will amplify the noise as well as the signal, far better to use a bigger dish and better cable.
