First a daylight referance shot



Here is a zoom of the central part. For these beamshots, please note the small tree at 505 yards and the bare tree-trunk at 910 yards.



Now here is the beam almost setting fire to that small tree 505 yards away.



And here it is reaching parts where moonlight doesn’t reach, 910 yards away. The zoom shot, below, clearly shows that bare tree trunk.

Its one of these http://peakbeam.thomasnet.com/category/handheld-searchlight-packages? , didnt buy it yet as they are VERY expensive but having seen them in action stateside they are awesome, nothing I have ever seen comes close. There seems to be massive exageration/wild claims as to the effectiveness/range of gun mounted lamps and general hunting lamps but these lamps will put a beam out to a range that foxes etc. can't be made out with the naked eye

Gofaster can the lamp be used with the power pack separate in a carry bag.

Yes I think so, if you look on the website there are few differant power options.


The battery is connected to the lamp with a separate lead so it should be easy to put the battery pack in a backpack or belt harness.

FFS those things are for search and rescue not for lamping foxes.
They are around $2000 usd to buy depending on what you need.
There is one that mounts to a Picatinny but I am not sure of the price, suffice to say it won't be cheap.:D
Overkill IMO.

Can sometimes be picked up for less as are often sold off as army surplus

They might be a bit expensive for lamping but you can never have too much light imo

You'd blind the bunnies with that!!!

the longest kill i have had is 705 yards on a rabbit in day light and 375 at night on a fox using a light force 170 how far would you guys fire at nite knowing the ground ,you can have a light too bright i use the amber filter on the lightforce foxes put little pass on it .i shot a big cub last nite at a bit under 200 it was sitting under a round bale and showed no interest in me ,thats till the 110 gr v max came a knocken and a wire hair picked it up for a shake
