glgl (sry couldnt get the vids done for ya ). Andys videos will be funny. A coup getting soren and ozzy too, good work.

1 tiny question about the site name - should it not be pokerswot.com or are you going to market it as a Poker
Swat Team? Or is it just pedantry either way lol

Hey Dan, Andys videos are great - the first video he did, he made a live recording of the Party Poker 300k guaranteed and won it. Yes its Swat, ingenius marketing ploy:cool:

I can't understand why any poker training site with such an Irish influence wouldn't include high stakes videos by DBC2008.

Did he demand too much cash or did you just feel that he plays too high stakes and his videos would be irrelevant to small/mid stakes player?

    :pac::pac::pac::pac:

He demanded 10% equity in the business, 10k per video and unlimited royalties... i was willing to push the boat out for him, but not that far

Well done. Fantastic lineup, especially Ozzy and Traheho.

thx Ian, Ozzy is doing PLO and NL videos for the site, has 2 PLO ready for launch and will be starting NL videos next month. Traheho has 3 videos for launch and did 2 really good heads up ones at 3/6 and 10/20

Good luck with this one lads.

As said above I think concentrating on PLO is very good, as it seems to me that most of the other training sites are either geared towards 6 max/hu nl hold em (leggo) or try to do everything (Cardrunners)

Yea PLO is our main focus, we be starting out with a least 10 per month but ill be pushing to increase that within the next month or two

Whats the general membership fee for these training sites??

Hey we designed 3 different membership levels relative to the stakes each player plays and their bankroll:

    Level 1:

    Monthly Fee: €8.99/$13.99
    Signup Fee: €14.99/$23.99

    Level 2:

    Monthly Fee: €12.99/$19.99
    Signup Fee: €24.99/$39.99

    Level 3:

    Monthly Fee: €15.99/$24.99
    Signup Fee: €31.99/$49.99

Every video series is designed at either Beginners, Intermediate or Advanced players and there is a simple filter to find the level of video you want to watch.

Will there be any MTT strategy vids/content?

Hey, yes there will be at least 10 MTT videos for the launch. We have some quality MTT coaches in Soren Kongsgaard, Andy Ward, Matt 'Plattsburgh' Vengrin and Jon Spinks. Thers also likely to be MTT content from Marty Smith, Traheho, Andy McLEOD and Ozzy 87 in the coming months.

Very nice lineup, best of luck with it. Will the videos be drm licenced like on cardrunners or will they open like on deucescracked(you can play videos on ipod etc).

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 797 ✭✭✭meathman 007

hey, there will be DRM on our videos. We looked into not having DRM, but it just creates too many issues - e.g people sign up and download all the videos and pass them on to all their friends etc and then cancel their membership, videos appearing on PokerTube etc..

Just wanted to give an update. www.pokerswat.com will be launching on the 17th of October. Keep an eye on this thread for further updates, sample videos and special offers for boards members.

We are also happy to announce that we have added Brian 'Brianm15' England to our coaching team. Brian will be producing high stakes NL videos for the site every month including 2 x 25/50 NL 6 max videos on PokerStars for the launch.

Thanks for update missed this thread first time round and the line-up looks pretty impressive. It'll be very interesting to hear some of Traheho and Andy McLeods thinking on some of the things they do. It'd be so sick if Andy was recording the PLO WCOOP event.

if you were to join a few months down the line will you be able to access all the content that has previously been published?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,698 ✭✭✭semibluff

yeh you would be able to view all the videos in the one month. By being involved month to month though will enable alot of other perks such as interacting with and asking coaches questions in the forums aswell as viewing the videos as part of a series and applying what has been newly learned to your game, before the second or third installment from each coach on a specific topic is inttroduced.
