Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sharing internet connection?

    Hi,could i use an RJ45 double adapter and an extra cable to share internet connection between a laptop and desktop,will only be using the net on one machine at any time...or do i need a cheap switch or something?
    Just want to save switching cables from one to the other really...

    yep, just remember to use crossover rj45

    if u don't know how 2 do it, here is little help:

    when you connect them, go for:

    start -> network connections -> right-click Local Area Connection -> Properties -> Advanced -> tick "allow other users to use my connection"

    bought one rj45 adapter and 1 metre of cat5 cable its not crossover though!would it not be the same thing having the two connected to the splitter(one coming from back of laptop and the other from desktop) and then plugged into back of router?
