that's preorder only on nokia.co.uk, it only changed in the last day or so to preorder, says "Late October" for in-stock.
Give it a few weeks to settle down imho

I just got mine about an hour ago. The slider is really loose on mine and I'm not impressed to be honest. I had this problem with the original N95 and had to get it fixed so am really unimpressed that it's happened again. It looks like they've used the tech behind the first gen N95 on the N85 instead of the tech from the N95 8GB which is what they should have done. :(

*EDIT* I've just been on to Sigma here (Nokia drop-off repair centre) and because the phone hasn't officially launched here yet they most likely won't have the parts until Christmas time or the New Year so there's no chance of a repair unfortunately. ARRRG! I'll check with the seller but hope this isn't a bad batch. :s

    my slider is perfect mate

have you experience any rebooting when the phone is charging or when just playing around with it

also may i ask what kind of memory card came with it

i got a memory card that says micro sd hc 8gb made in japan

not sure is that an offical card

Build quality on mine is bad enough that I'm starting to suspect it's a fake.

can anyone clear this up for me?

Two N85's on the expansys site. One is UK for 600, the other is German for 509. What is the actual difference?

    UK: http://www.expansys.ie/d.aspx?i=172674
    German: http://www.expansys.ie/d.aspx?i=175180

Any real reason to pay the extra for the UK version?

Pixmania have a pre release price of €403 if it stays close to that it could be worth it although the manual would be in french

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,396 ✭✭✭KillerShamrock

Headshot really want to get this phone!
The sound level as in the call sound level or ringtone or mp3 player, what do you mean by bad. beause if the mp3 sucks then that puts the phone out of the running :(
Not looking for a camera replacement so once the camera takes decent pics i don't care.
