Hey, were you posting graham crackers? If you tell me they aren't available in Ireland the trip is off!:(

Are they kind of like digestive biscuits in a different shape?

I don't think I've ever had a digestive biscuit, but Wiki says digestive biscuits are used in cheesecake crusts, so I think they must be pretty similar. Trip is still on!:pac:

My brother brought back mint M&Ms from his trip to America years ago. Bring lots of them.

    For me.

Other than that, I hear you guys do nice ice cream. Maybe bring some of that.

Hmm, I've never had those. They must be seasonal. And wtf is with the Irish obsession with M&Ms? That's probably my least favorite candy, they're crap!

    Ice cream noted. :D

    Irish Obsession?

I was in Vegas last year and there is a 3 story M&Ms store there. The place was jointed!

My parents came home with New York with 6 bags of pick and mix M&Ms. They spent $60 on them. It must be an obsession.

Sweet mother of god, there's no fluff in Ireland???

There is Fluff, it's just sold in more specialist shops as opposed to in the regular supermarket. You can buy it in Donnybrook Fair if anyone is looking for it.

I love Joly Ranchers, we used to be able to get them here once upon a time!! They were soo good.

    Twizzlers are a good idea.

    We're agreed then?

PillyPen, when you back your bags for Ireland it's four suitcases of chocolate, candy and ice-cream we're wanting. You can worry about clothes etc. once we have them.

I was starting to worry about how she was going to fit it all in, but you have solved that problem.

Bring a good few bags of the small peanut butter cups, they always go down well. (Except with me because I hate them.)

Even the novelty ones suck! Lol, I'm really surprised by the response to M&Ms here. I think I know one person who said that was there favorite candy (an American I mean), and my mom and I both discussed what a lame choice that was. Even the novelty ones are bleh.

    What kinda ice cream, then?

Aw, I love Whole Foods! Used to work there. I live in the middle of nowhere where health food is a sin, so none around here I'm afraid.:(

What will I get in exchange for all of this candy? I'm an American, you know, tit for tat!

Yup. Not by me of course. My dad ate the bag that he bought for me. And the bag he bought for my sister.

The whole 'I hate peanut butter cups' thing is going out the window. That looks gorgeous!

Lol, your dad sounds adorable. And the big ones are glorious! Have you tried the mini ones and the regular sized ones both? I find the chocolate used in PBCs is too sweet; so the smallest ones are less tasty than the regular sized ones because there's less peanut butter to balance the chocolate. So the big ones are just out of this world.

    M&M flavour, if possible.

    My undying respect?

I had the small ones. (That was the worst Halloween ever!) I'll have to try the big ones. Don't know if they're available in Ireland though.

*sigh* It is possible. It's also possible that you'll be horribly disappointed and piss on the American flag after you try it.

I'm from the greatest country in the world. Your piddly paddy respect is meaningless.

    Lol, you're a nut.

Oh, those are good. Aww, I really wish I could bring back all of these things for everyone! I will bring candy to the first boards beers I go to, so everyone go there! (No M&Ms, though.)

That is definitely not a proper introduction to the peanut butter cup. The small ones just pale in comparison.

Here's the plan: You go to the Halloween beers with a suitcase full of chocolate.

But secretly I will meet you beforehand to get my pick of the sweets

I will have to go on without them.

Also, we have M&M ice cream here and it's gross.
