As we have stated before we are in the process of opening it up. I would love to give you guys a date to mark in the calendars but its just not possible at the moment.

Stay tuned for the announcement that will be coming shortly.

how far along is the building

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 521 ✭✭✭The Warehouse

Alot of the build is completed. There are some minor alterations to be made to the actual building and that is one of the reasons we are held up at the moment.

I wish you guys best of luck opening this.

Indoor CQB is an excellent idea. I think when you are fully established you will outsell many outdoor facilities for obvious reasons... (IRISH WEATHER)!

So I hope this goes ahead, and if it does I will certainly be a frequent customer.:D

    Good Luck

It'd make me go back to Airsoft - the only reason I've only done it once is the commute's impossible!

dude not cool, nagging aint gonna make it open any faster. insurance takes ages to get sorted and whatnot. as they said it will be done when its done and they will give us a date when they can

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,674 ✭✭✭Skatedude

kitting it out is the easy part.
planning permission, insurance and paperwork, now thats hard

To add more to the rumors I don't think this is going to happen. If you think of how much money has gone down the tubes by not being open they must be operating at a big loss as stands hope I'm wrong as I'm pissed off with the weather at the moment and the idea is a winner.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 521 ✭✭✭The Warehouse

If it was not going to open then we would just come out and tell it to you.

As was said above kitting the place out and the build are the easy parts.

We will keep you updated with the information as we get it.

give us an estimate on the opening because you said befforee it would be open this time last month

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,099 ✭✭✭Tommyboy71

Lads, give the guys a break. I saw first hand all the little problems that can hit you when opening a business.

You think you are ready to open when:
    a. someone else wants a pound of flesh
    b. something you have overlooked comes back to bite you in the ass

This is that nature of starting any business and especially a business that has not been done before. By that, I mean an indoor airsoft site.

If they don't open till next month/year then so be it. They seem like they are very genuine about this opening.

I don't mind playing in the elements. An indoor site is just another option for me during the year.

Note: I have no afilliation with this venture.

I would be very careful with opening anytime soon. the recent murder in Limerick has brought the issue of legal guns and illegal guns to the top of the Department of Justice agenda. the general public looking at airsoft dont see the difference between real guns and airsoft. in fact the normal Joe in the street would look at airsoft not as fun but as a "game" designed to "kill" another person.
I have become aware that the issue of airsoft has also now come under the spotlight. I hate to say this be i know i have been very negitive before but there is now a serious concern being expressed about airsoft behind closed doors. I have become aware that the police are now looking at airsoft in a negitive light. It is seen as having no positive result. Lets face it running aroung attempting the "shoot" another person, the general public and more importantly the police and the justice department are worried that this "sport" has no positive aspect to it. Im sorry but if you were to open this now im not sure you would receve positive press. The general feeling within legal circles is a change in the law is almost inevitable in the long term if not the short term. Sorry again but you can take what i said as my opinion based on a very good information. I know your business is at an advanced stage and again i wish anyone starting a business in these times of financial uncertantainty is hard but again best of luck.
