Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Did I notice Rooney and Tevez both have new tattoo's on inside right forearm? Fairly big, look similar too.. Tevez kissed his after banging the ball in the net.

This will be one truly sh1t game.

United to win one nil. Score early and just kill the game.

For entertainment in this fixture for once, maybe they can both play fast flowing football and it'll be 4-3 or something. Seriously doubt it'll happen though.

    Lets hope so. :D

Ah, I've been telling United fans for ages on here that VDS isn't all he's hyped up to be, and that Foster's better.

26 minutes into this game. Anymore agree with me now?

happy with riera so far. utd look to have much more of an edge going forward. Would be happy if we kept it level and brought on torres and gerrard with 30 left.

I actually don't know many United fans who don't think VDS is dodgy as **** at times. Every season he has 2-3 big gaffs and thats that. We just hope they come in small games.

Foster will be better, isn't yet though.

    ---

Poor performance from United imo. Rooney can do something on the wide left, he's kinda adjusted to it. Wide right, he offers little. Lovely lovely goal, no doubt about that. Berbatov doing ok, great assist, and offers something different. But we haven't clicked in terms of passing, lots of stray passes here and there, poor stuff.

Liverpool aren't creating to be honest. Kuyt chance from a set piece and an own goal was all they really had. United aren't much better though :/ Until Gerrard or Torres comes on, I'd be relatively confident unless the system is changed of them not scoring again unless its something spectacular from one person.

That being the case, Reira looks like a very very good dribbler of the ball. Something that Liverpool need. Can he give the end product though is the question.

Though we have looked good until the edge of the box, then nobody making the runs, Keane dropping off into midfield the whole time when he is the one up. Think Utd look weak down both sides.

Eg the Masch cross waiting to be tapped in and nobody near it.

Would say that utd look close to scoring everytime they get forward.

    bit more than 2-3 gaffs

when he came first to utd he was out standing

but as time goes on he's turned into a Barthez

Class....Souness pretty much calling Van De Sarr yellow.
Pool came into it well after the lucky goal, hopefully they build on that. Kuyt actually linking up well with midfield etc, hes doing well. Will be interesting to so who Liverpool withdraw for Torres or Gerard if they are brought on, probably be Robbie again....he'll get 90 mins one day!

    Giggs to replace Carrick

    Mike.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,685 ✭✭✭Tom65

I don't recall ever saying this before, but Man Utd's defence looks dodgy (not just VDS). They don't look composed, they're happy to just fire the ball out for a throw and are generally nervous. Rooney isn't in the game at all. He occasionally pops up right back, but apart from that, nothing. Carrick being injured seems to have hampered us a lot, too.
I'm just glad Gerrard and Torres weren't playing in that first half, we would've been in trouble.

I see Giggs is coming on. I think they might stick Giggs out on the left to try and get Rooney more involved.

Lively start for the reds to the second half

it hard to have a good defence if you cant rely on your keeper

you dont know is he coming for it or staying

True enough. I'm very disappointed with Man Utd. Our passing hasn't been good enough at all.

no it wasnt, rio ferdinand was behind vidic, therefore he is not the last man. he wasnt in on goal, as ferdinand would have cut him off.

therefore, it is not a stonewall red card.

Liverpool have played very well in the second half, we look ****e tbh. I hate to say it but the pool deserve this, we still cant raise our game ffs

i am not gonna be on here much this week i reckon

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,685 ✭✭✭Tom65

I hate to say it, but Liverpool deserve the win. We've been awful. Barely strung together two passes and no concentration. If we play like this at Chelsea we'll be hammered.

no he wasn't the side on shot showed ferdinand was level with both of them.
