Came across this on an ad on Facebook.

Not sure what to make of it. Is it totally legit?

Anyone actually give a "lend" and if so do you have any chance of getting your money back?

I take it the idea is to give the ordinary person the chance to become a "business angel" to the developing world.

    Seems pretty interesting though.

It is legit. Have been using for a while.
Any of the loans that have finished so far have returned my money. Also I only give about $25 dollars (its an American site) at a time.

So you just get your flat loan back with no interest?

(I'm not saying people should be looking for interest from the developing world just wondering)

Yeah, you loan the money and get it back. I suppose the hook is you know you're helping people that are less well off.

Also, in the States they have special tax breaks for people who donate on kiva.org. Thats my understanding of it.
