    Guessing you're working there... ;)

Seriously tho, what's the story with it? Is it just a new tattoo parlour or is it something that there's gonna be a tv show around? I'd imagine it'll be smaller scale than the other ink shows given that it's Ireland!!! If so, is it just going to be another of the BS things where you need some sob story about it being dedicated to the memory of your dead canary who meant so much to you as they alerted you to the carbon monoxide levels being too high when you worked down the mines?

    :D:D:D:D:D

Well London Ink was a flop wasnt it??Havent heard anything about a new series of it yet--all they seem to be showing is the first over and over again.Doesnt matter how many times you watch it its still sh1t.

Miami Ink/LA ink is the same old stuff week in week out--everyone needing a deep meaning to getting any tattoo in either shop.

Only one I watch now is Ink Wars.

Dublin ink would be good id say it would last the whole of two weeks, until some skanger robs the place.Antway if Discovery American they will use it as an exscuse to come to Ireland to see the leprechaun and hunt down their long lost cousins

Ok, maybe I missed it, but has anyone actually confirmed this Dublin Ink is a Tv show as the name would suggest (Miami Ink / LA Ink) or is it just another tattoo studio making the most of a similar sounding name?
Couldnt find a bebo page and theres nothing on the dublinink.com yet though the .ie is registered too (back in July 24th I believe).
I'd like to see this show go ahead, I am however, very skeptical.

Took a look at DublininkT bebo page, to conclude this place has nothing to do with LA Miami or London Ink tv shows its just a shop with a deceiving name. Good luck with the shop all the same.

haha ...thats an interesting observation base on a page that is still under construction, and the shows you mention are all independant of each other ..we dont make any affiliation with the shows , just maintain we are gona have one with a similar name. yes and it is worded well and takes full advantage of a well established household name. thanks for the good wishes do!:)

They have the same production company (LA and Miami anyway) and all three are on TV unlike Dublin Ink. Poor show alluding to Dublin Ink being "launched" tbh, makes potential clients on here think there's gonna be a dublin based tattoo show on Discovery, a slightly dishonest move on your part. Anyways, hope your venture proves fruitful all the same.

So all these shows generally have the cream of the crop tattooists around. Who from Dublin is involved in this?

we have a production team also!!!!!!!! and in talks with stations. if pilot goes well, we will have the same as!.. la ink was set up when the main producer left with kat von d. London is independent also.. so i ask ya?? how do you no its not gona make main stream tv when we have experts working with us that think it will?? dnt know why im arguing with you about this.. you are totally entitled to your opinion , but to say we are bluffing, thats just bad form ! peace

we will letcha know the artist line up when it is totally confirmed dude. Thanks for your interest .

I dont care what channel its on or even if it is, there's a new shop opening and if there is good artists in there then why should any one feel let down at all?

Good luck with the production team talking to the stations, seems cool to me.
And good luck with the shop in general.

WELL I HEAR THE STORIES ARE TRUE!! DUBLIN INK IS OPENING IN THE NXT FEW MONTHS.. WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR F***ING AGES FOR IT.. GLAD THEY GOT THE FINGER OUT. HEARD THERE IS A WAITING LIST. NOT SURE HOW TO GET ON THE BLOODY THING DO :confused::confused: SHOULD BE GOOD. ANY BODY KNOW EXACTLY WHOS WORKING THERE???

If this Dublin Ink does turn into a TV show and a successful one at that, then fair play to you and whoever is involved (might get people thinking more about tattoos than copying David Beckham or neo-tribal styles(as nice as they are)), I'd even shake your web hand so to speak. Good luck with the shop, any premises picked out?

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,721 ✭✭✭✭CianRyan

I think they already have a place, not entirely sure though.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,799 ✭✭✭Diceicle

If they're in the City Centre I'll buzz in for a look for sure.
More decent tattoo artists always welcome.

    @John

Will you guys be focusing on any particular style to specialise in? Biomech? Portraits? Traditional etc?
