recording vhs to dvd?

    i have a few vhs tapes that are not available on dvd so i was wondering whats the easiest way to transfer them to dvd so i can free up some space on my shelf??

    The easiest way (but not maybe the cheapest) is to buy a combination VHS and DVD recorder. Pop the tape in and a blank DVD press a button and you are done. Some examples http://www.pixmania.com/ie/uk/68/xx/xx/9/3/criteresn.html

    99% of pre recorded video tapes have built in copy prevention called macrovision.
    Use "professional' VHS/DVD video equipment,
    TBC (Time Base Corrector), or video enhancer/processor/stabilizer.
