Hey All,

What did you think of the VMA's last night. I wasn't hat impressed. I actually thought the whole event was a bit strange. The stage is usually amazing but it was small and nothing really special to it. It seemed very low key to me. And I thought it was just a very strange collaboration, Leona and those two rappers... Although it was gr8 to c Brit back on form, she looked great!!!

It's MTV. Could we expect anything different?

Last year they boosted ratings by letting Britney make a fool of herself.
This year they boosted ratings by staging her 'comeback'.

What are they going to do next year? Try to 'reunite' her with Justin?

It was one of the strangest excercises in group therapy that I have ever seen. I mean it was basically a case of 'we'll-give-Britney-every-award-that-we-possibly-can' and clap and applaud, she'll thank God and the fans and we'll all feel just a small bit better about ourselves than we did this time last year when she was just a mess.

And Russel Brand was obviously made to apologise about the promise ring thing. I reckon despite his best efforts that most of his 'humor' was lost on American audiences. It was lost on me some of the time too.

I totally agree with everythin you said. Firstly I dont think they knew who he was and secondly they just did not get him. No1 laughed at his jokes.

It seems that the Americans are none too pleased with Russell calling George W a "retarded cowboy". :eek:

MTV is getting crappier.. They should change the name into RSTV (Reality Show TV) as today's MTV (which means Music Television) has not much to do with music anymore..
