I have a Mini DV Camcorder with a DV output port. Unfortunately my laptop doesn’t have a firewire port. It has a slot for an Expresscard and I have seen these on eBay with firewire connections. Do these work? Can anyone recommend an Expresscard with a firewire connection that I could get either online or bricks and…

Yeah something like:

there are 2 reviews that rate it bad but on amazon.com it gets
good reviews, one from a guy pulling video from a Canon HV20.
Disregard the reviews by people using it with an ipod
