Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Oh dear....Seems to be par for the course for Liverpool players of late

    http://www.football365.com/story/0,17033,8652_4121815,00.html

Robbie Keane has become the latest Liverpool player to fall victim to burglars, sources said on Tuesday.

The Republic of Ireland striker's penthouse apartment was broken into while he was away on international duty for his country's 2-1 win over Georgia on Saturday.

The thieves sneaked into the flat he shares with model wife Claudine, 25, and are believed to have stolen an expensive watch and jewellery.

Keane, 28, had been using the city centre property in Liverpool while he searched for a home after his £20million move from Tottenham.

Over the past two years six Anfield stars, including Steven Gerrard and former Red Peter Crouch, have been burgled while playing.

cause there is no sources-no comment from Keane or his mrs as there was when Reina/Gerrard were burgled or comments from the police who usually commenting on the fact they are investigating a break in etc.

Plus the last i heard he was living in a hotel in Liverpool still awaiting his place to be complete.

Just usual bull**** that crops up before massive games for Liverpool players.

Even if it was true, which it could be, so ****ing wat? rich footballer targeted! shock horror.

I dunno. all the papers are covering it. Why would the liverpool echo try to unsettle liverpool fc ? I'd say likely no quotes because everyone is out of town.

Maybe someone was disappointed with him putting zero effort every time he plays for Ireland and decided to rob his horse cart and carpet

I'd say it's Gillet & Hicks behind these, they have inside knowledge of the players movements, and a large debt to pay. :)

Nope, because it wasn't his house in London that was burgled. It was his apartment in Liverpool.

hmmmm Irish international football player, just made a £20 million move to Liverpool football club, one of the 2 biggest supported football clubs in Ireland is burgled a few weeks after moving to his new club.......Yep totally out of place on an Irish football forum  no relevance whatsoever.

btw I love how defensive you got immediately on this. 8 mins after the thread was posted
    it seems like bull**** tbh.

turns out to be quite the silly statement now.

all in all its typical silly season stuff, with no actual club matches happening. But relevant nonetheless

Jaysus, out of the frying pan ("dark skinned muggers in Tottenham" source - Sergei Rebrov) and into the fire...:D
Former Spurs forward Sergei Rebrov has issued a despicable racist rant to Tottenham's new striker Roman Pavlyuchenko.

When asked, by a Russian journalist, how Pavlyuchenko should adapt to British life, the former Ukraine forward Rebrov said: 'A lot of dark skinned people lived near White Hart Lane so the crime rate was high.'

He also claimed that if Pavlyuchenko didn't want to be a 'robbery victim' he should avoid walking around the area close to the Spurs ground.

Rebrov, who was widely panned as a flop during his time at Spurs between 2000-2004, made his astonishing claims to Football Weekly magazine.

His comments are sure to provoke widespread criticism, not least from those that live in the north London communities in and around Tottenham.

He said: 'I wouldn't go for a walk on my own around White Hart Lane.

'A lot of dark skinned people live there. So naturally the crime rate is higher than anywhere else.

'It's not nice to be a robbery victim. So I suggest that Roman doesn't walk but drives around that area.'

Cop on will you, You are not from Liverpool so dont be taking this to serious. Just because you support them, people are not implying that you are a thieving scouser

I'm not from Africa-i still find it offensive when somebody says something racist about them.

I'm not from London but i find Rebrovs racist comments above to be offensive.

They to me are the exact as wat Kyrogen above said for example. Bigoted, smallminded, racist, idiotic, i'm not sure what the right term is, but you get my point.

Do i have to be from Liverpool to find it offensive if people label them "thieving scousers" for no real reason other than to continue silly stereotypes continuously perpatrated in the media?

Nope. He stated that they didn't rob his Carling Cup medal because it was safe in his apartment in London.

    Everyone please calm down.

Mr Alan, people would be less likely to try bait you if you didn't over react in such a defensive manner anytime anyone said something mildly negative about Liverpool.

    Everyone else, watch the insults.
