Croatia vs England Match discussion

Well its kicked off and I imagine most people are gonna watching this game so I thought it should have a separate thread to the European one.

Anyways for what its worth and Croatia have looked good for the last couple of minutes, but I like this England side. Although I'd prefer Bentley or Beckham on the right.

As I said I liked the team and its showing already, I have constantly said that England don't need an out and out goalscorer up front but someone who can hold it up as there are so many goals behind a big front man. Great goal there from the only man I would not have had in the team.

Kind of a lucky break for Walcott to get the opportunity - but he finished well. Felt that was somewhat against the run of play, but you would bank on England to finish it out from here...

I missed the first 2 mins and only realised Barry was playing just now when I read the OP.

Walcott got lucky with the bll bouncing to him but it was a great finsih.

Hahaha, I can't wait to see how people change their tune on Capello from making absurd squad choices, to being a tactical genius. He has made England a much better side tactically, and lives for moments like this. My friend put 500 quid on them, now he's got 1735 quid. How bad....

As for 500 on England. I would not. Hindsight makes it look a great bet but very risky.

Walcott hat-trick, I think he'll be taken off now. Great performance. Lampard looks good tonight too, and that for me is down to the fact that Gerard is not playing. This goes both ways, you can only play one of them.
