Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Why not go private? That's where the bargains are! I got me an '07 Fireblade for €7,000 up North with less than 5,000km on the clock!

You're hardly going to go back across the water for a warranty anyway, are you? UK dealers will give you a discount because of this, "sold as seen" has a bad rep, but on the right bike will save you a good deal of cash (and if the bike's not kosher you shouldn't buy it anyway!)

    Scrap the cap!

Whats the warranty on a Deauville? 3 years?

So provided its not hot - warranty is ok?

I hear Irish Honda dealers are not keen on standing over the warranty of a uk bike.

I specifically mentioned factory warranty as under EU rules the manufacturer's agents must stand over the manufacturer's warranty across the Union, regardless of where the owner brings it in the union.

Private warranties on used bikes out of factory warranty from shops in the UK are a different matter of course and you are unlikely to bring it back to enforce the warranty unless it's a major fault.

Main dealer's are never too keen on any warranty work regardless of what the country of origin of the vehicle is because they can't screw the manufacturer the way they can screw an ordnary punter-all warranty work is done on codes and is all rigidly priced and paid for by the factory. Dealer's don't like that compared to an old biddy who hasn;t a clue and who they can do over.
