1618: The Hull fans are rubbing it in now with a chant of "Are you Grimsby in disguise?" at the Newcastle support.

    1642: GOAL Fulham 2-1 Bolton
Kevin Davies heads down a long free-kick from Jussi Jaaskelainen and Heidar Helguson looks to have applied the final touch.

Fulltime: Newcastle 1 Hull 2, with Danny Guthrie sent off in the 93rd for just kicking the legs off a player. Cannot justify what he did, but his actions reek of a player who is fed up like the fans with all the sh/t that is going on.

Boos at the final whistle at Ewood Pk. Feel sorry for the fans - appointing someone like Paul Ince as manager of a Premiership club demonstrates embarrassingly low ambition.

That would ruin his policy of constant injury, a cause to which he has shown unparalleled devotion.

Jack Wilshere became Arsenal's youngest ever league debutante today. Nice to see himself and Ramsey, who got an assist, getting a run out. Good result too!

As does signing someone like that Andrews fella. Talk about being out of his depth.....

    Dirty dive from Eboue.

what for the peno? As Eboue jumped over Warnock, Warnock twists his body and gets his right shin to Eboue's trailing leg. he was looking for it but it was definitely a penalty. it was a reckless lunge anyway from Warnock, who was never going to get the ball so it should have been given regardless as by forcing eboue to jump he prevented him from reaching the ball anyway.

I just love how everyone has it in for Eboue, Arsenal fans and non fans alike. it really blinds people to how good he is. he had a great game today. his versatility is such that i love having him as a squad player and long may it continue.

anyway, Adebayor's hattrick was probably the worst hattrick ever. he was so lazy today, i know he's always had that relaxed look about him but today in particular he just didn't seem to give a ****. Very hot and cold.

Denilson looked good again today, he's a bit of work to do on the physique but his enthusiasm makes up for it. some of his passes today were fantastic. didn't really see what he got booked for, was it a handball?

I watched the Blackburn Arsenal game. We were thumped off the pitch but read the last paragraph for the most interesting part as an Irishman.

Anyways Paul Ince decided in all his wisdom that we did not need a defensive midfielder today and Rovers were set up in an attacking 4-4-2 formation:confused:

That clearly did not work and he persisted with Chris Samba at Centreback even though he has had a nighmare start to the season. He also played Keith Andrews today, our wonder signing from MK Dons:rolleyes:
Overall Arsenal were clearly miles ahead of us and deservedly won although the margin in the end was flattering. One thing is clear after todays game though and that is that Arsenal are not good defensively in the middle of the park. We had far too many balls getting to the edge of their box and if we had players to take advantage of that it could have been an entirely different game.

Roque Santa Cruz must be wondering why he signed a new contract with us after this game and the two previous results against West Ham and Hull. He had a certain goal denied by the top of Toure's head. We also had other chances most notably one where Sagna came out of nowhere to block another goal bound effort from Santa Cruz.

Happy 20th birthday to Keith Treacy. He came on as a second half substitute for the second game in a row. This lad has come throught ranks at Rovers and has been the subject of much discussion for a long time. For those who don't know anything about him, he is a left midfielder. He showed enough again today to make a serious claim for a starting place. I can see this lad if he gets some starts with us, being the no.1 left midfielder for Ireland. Keep and eye on him everybody, he has it all, he is relaxed on the ball, has vision and can put in superb crosses.

Blackburn were very unlucky against WestHam, they always get hammered by Arsenal.

    shhhh, don't tell anyone.

besides, i wouldn't be a proper gooner or anything, i just find my neutrality of analysis tends to draw me towards Arsenal's style of play more than anyone else. and it leads me to making occasional slips of the keyboard like that :)

yeah, he appears to be Setanta Irelands new 'star signing'

i don't mind him, he's not great on radio/TV but when he's not being a bitter f*ck over how his Ireland managerial career ended he actually makes some decent insights now and again. better than Houghton imo.
