    Now we know where the fluke came from. :)
    I was a bit surprised. I had always assumed the fluke originally grew outward from the tail. Turns out it was an extension of the legs which fused with the tail over time.

    That legged whale ancestor is one freaky-looking creature. Would be an awesome thing to see in the flesh.
