Nokia 6300 screen woes after firmware upgrade

I had an issue with my Nokia 6300 before. Now another has come to light. I upgraded the firmware last night (using the Nokia Software Updater). It was something like 5.5 and is now something like 6.6. As soon as the firmware updated, the screen became just a mix of pixels. I can't see anything. I tried turning it off & on…

I had an issue with my Nokia 6300 before. Now another has come to light.
I upgraded the firmware last night (using the Nokia Software Updater). It was something like 5.5 and is now something like 6.6. As soon as the firmware updated, the screen became just a mix of pixels. I can't see anything.
I tried turning it off & on but nothing.
Now the screen is divided in two, with the left half just black and the right half being a jumble of pixels.

I tried reinstalling the firmware again today but no joy and the software doesn't seem to have a rollback option.

AFAIK its still under warranty but I was wondering if anyone has seen this kind of issue before? I googled but found nothing.
