Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yeah, it's exactly as you remember it. I saw a speedrun video of the first level when achievements were first announced and I used what I remembered of that to get the achievement on my first attempt! Which was sweet, but the enemies are pretty tough. A Pig Cop killed me pretty quick in the second level. It's not as easy as Doom!

You clearly never played Doom on Nightmare :D

Ultra-Violence was where it was at with the Doom games :D

I meant on the Normal difficulty, Doom is crazy hard on Nightmare! Duke on Normal is a fair bit easier than Doom on Ultraviolent, it's true.

How dare you. Doom is still a fine and very playable game.

    +1

Doom, Wolf 3d and Quake were the games of my youth, though not in that order - I had hit college by the time Quake was out, I think.

Still enjoy playing Doom on the XBox arcade.

I remember when DN3D came out, it was enjoyable but Quake had the edge.

What would be nice would be an easter egg with the original Duke Nukem platform game in the new DN3D - for example if you could play a slot machine and it was the DN platform game!

Now that game takes me back! ;)

  • just read on ign there, if you complete all achievements you can see two brand new screenshots of duke nukem forever. considering you were talking about some kind of "reward"
