Just a word of caution to everyone. Was talking to someone from Hillview yesterday. Several break-ins on Friday morning last. Very organised gang (apparently they hit Grange Park as well). Knock on door first. If someone there 'do you want your grass cut' etc. If no-one home they've identified a weakness in some PVC doors and went straight in the front door.

Cash, jewelry (with the exception of wedding rings....which is a clue in itself;)). Be on the lookout. Make sure your alarm (if you have one) is one and that you have your house secured.

    Freddie.

Didn't you just move to Waterford? THat's just unlucky!

I'm not one for pointing fingers but I have heard from the Gardai that some (or maybe just one) Romanian gang(s) have been carrying out burglaries in Waterford, usually going through windows.
They remove the rubber seal around the glass, take out the glass and go in.
They won't take anything big like a TV, just stuff that is easy to carry.
They scope out the houses first, a dog or an alarm system for example will put them off. They may also do it while the house is occupied.

Are you with Calicon? I'm only across in Aylesbury, already had my car broken into. My own fault really for parking it in Johnstown carpark.
    :rolleyes

Lets just say that a certain group in Ireland will not take wedding rings as they believe that it will bring bad luck and misery.
