Ikea kitchens?

Does anyone have experience of buying a kitchen from Ikea? We all know that the mark-up kitchen manufacturers take is criminal, I just wonder if the quality of ikea kitchens is adequate to make a fair comparison. We all know that the mark-up kitchen manufacturers take is criminal, I just wonder if the quality of ikea kitchens is adequate to make a fair comparison.

We bought a house once which had a Cash and Carry kitchen, it was ok, but didn't take much abuse tbh, and eventually a couple of the doors fell off. I'm wondering if ikea are of a similar standard.

Anyway, we know a friend of a friend who has got one recently (ikea), so we hope to see it soon.
