Just out of curiousity Mairt, will you be letting your "restricted" dogs off their leads?
My two are on the list aswell, but like yours, they get on fine with all other dogs and run behind me as soon as another dog snaps...

    No, I won't.

But I'll be honest here. I'm often down on the beach for sunrise and the older lad is free to run to his little hearts content as we've a free beach to ourselves.

Ruby is way too young to let off the lead anywhere at any time, she's only 14 weeks old.

Well thats the same as myself...
I often go down the end early or in the evenings and let them have a run around...Im just curious as to how strict folks on here are about it...

I often meet people with their listed dogs off the lead. Not up to me to police it, anyway, they get socialised and are always friendly and my dog enjoys a run around with them.

I see far far worse things going on.

If I approach someone with their dogs on a lead or with no dogs at all I will recall my dog and walk him to heal or put the lead on him.

Mind you, it amazes me why people go out of their way to walk/jog as close as possible to me when I have the dog just to complain and jump back in mock fear when there is 120 acres of sportsgrounds, forest, pasture and tarmac.

    Hello all,

If you ever have a walk on da Northsoide I live near the Phoenix Park and would love to take part!

My little dog is very friendly and good natured and is always looking to make new doggy friends! :)

Any other Cavs taking part in the walk?

Just back from Portmarnock beach, and WOW. If we'd more days like this!.

It was fab, anyway I'm up for a meet up next Sunday. Personally I'm prefer a beach, but I'm living close to it so that would be a little selfish I guess (but I love the sea too).

Anyone else hit Portmarnock this morning?.

Unfortunately my girl never really gets off lead in public. I made the mistake of taking her in for a walk around town in the market this morning (Limerick). Honest to Jesus, you would swear I had a great white on the lead :(

I have briefly tried a muzzle, not too successful though i'm afraid. Would love to do something like dog borstal with him and sort him out once and for all.
