Converting AVI to DVD

    Can anyone recommend a good software program to convert avi files to DVD format?

    Seconded, it does the biz. I have researched and looked for a few and this one did it really well.

    a lot of the new DVD players will play .avi right off a data dvd or usb

    I second convertxtodvd

    it takes about an hour on my pc but nero used to take 4 so its way better

    I found Sonic works quite well. As does the one that is standard with Dells. As someone said already your DVD player might be able to play straight from the .avi Beware that not all .avi's are the same. I think and I am sure someone better informed that me can tell you, that it has to be MPG4.

    I just convert my .avis to Divx.
